How to Align Control Assurance to Auditor Expectations
A practical playbook: structure, steps, checklists (and a video outline at the end).

1) Start with the “assurance contract” (charter + reasonable expectations)

“Based on the procedures performed, we did not identify a material weakness…” -
Audience & reliance: ES LT, risk committees, internal audit, external auditors, regulators (as applicable).

2) Build a Control Assurance Program (CAP), not a single testing method

SOC Type I: DE only, for material vendors (or earlier lifecycle)
